Bismuth

Bismuth is a metal with a low melting point and soft properties, displaying an iridescent sheen similar to that of a CD.
This occurs because bismuth forms a thin oxide layer when it crystallizes. This layer reflects light.
Its low melting point makes it suitable for use in sprinkler nozzles and as a lead substitute in solder.
Bismuth is rarely mined on its own and is typically recovered as a byproduct during the refining of other ores such as lead and tungsten.
Main producing countries include China and Peru.
